Panerai Luminor 42mm Blue Dial DLC Steel (PAM01714)

The Panerai Luminor Ref. PAM01714 brings the sharper 1990s Luminor case of Ref. 5218-201/A, the model that introduced Panerai to the civilian public on September 10, 1993, into a new 42mm size. It pairs a microsandblasted steel case with a black DLC coating with a matte blue dial, a blue canvas strap and the automatic Calibre P.980.

• 1993 Luminor Case: Sharper angles, crisper edges, robust solid lugs and a curved crown-protecting bridge that follows the watch's profile define the 1990s silhouette, first adapted from 47mm to 44mm and now reduced to a more wearable 42mm.
• Tested Beyond 500 Meters: Water-resistant to 50 bar (approximately 500 meters); at the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel each watch is pressure-tested 25% beyond its guaranteed rating.
• Case & Strap: 42mm microsandblasted steel case with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, applied by Plasma-Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition for hardness and resistance to wear, abrasion and corrosion on a blue canvas strap, secured by a trapezoidal microsandblasted DLC steel buckle.
